Wombatoriums
We are about to build a new wombatorium. We would be interested in others experiences in building wombatoriums.
What materials were used? (normal convention in our understanding is sheet iron).
How did you stop them burrowing out?
( We are understand that it is usual to bury the iron 600 - 900mm into the ground. Our soil varies greatly in depth and also in rockyness of the soil which can make it very difficult to dig even with a machine)
Has anybody tried laying wire mesh on the ground near the walls to prenvent burrowing out? (problems with injury to wombats??)
Has anybody tried other methods not commonly seen in current information sources?
