Dead Wombat

Yesterday I found a dead wombat on the side of the road. It had I believe been killed by a car. However it also had an arrow with broad hunting head through its neck. The arrow had also been broken off as you would ecpect if the wombat had gone down a burrow. It was litterally within 100m of a house on the outskirts of Lithgow. I have informed the Lithgow police but I am not about to hold my breath.
Is this what we can expect from allowing hunting in our NP.

David, that is bloody dreadful. What is going wrong in our world to have so many critters arrowed lately? Very disturbing.... but yes, I think we are going to see more and more of this horrible cruelty.
